About Katya
I really love being in the nature, breathing the fresh pine scent in the forest, enjoying the surf of the sea, inhaling the fragrance of flowers, admiring the sunrise and sunset, watching the sky change... At such moments, I feel deeply connected to my true self.
My connection with art began at the age of 12, when I entered an art school. What started as a childhood passion gradually became a lifelong path. I continued my education at the Institute of Arts in Novosibirsk, Russia, where I earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
Art, for me, is an extension of meditation - a way to capture the serenity and beauty that exist in the world around us. Having practiced Sahaja Yoga meditation since childhood, I find inspiration in stillness, peace, and the beauty of the natural world. While traveling through the USA, Italy, India, the Swiss Alps, and beyond, I enjoy painting en plein air, immersing myself in each place and collecting photo references that later inspire my studio work.
Through my watercolors, I strive to capture light, atmosphere, and the quiet beauty of nature, creating paintings that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and experience a sense of peace and joy.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. I invite you to explore my work and find a piece that resonates with your heart.
